Print Copy Scan

You can find Printers around the libraries – they print, copy or scan to email. You will need to register on a printer the first time you use one.

Just send your documents to Follow Me Printing and they will be released from any working printer across King’s through use of your King’s ID card.

Send your printing from your personal device by attaching your document and sending an email from your King’s account to emailprint@kcl.ac.uk

You can top-up online to add credit to your print account.

Student Computing

There are Computer Rooms and some study spaces equipped with PCs in the libraries. You can find the nearest available PC using the PC free service.

You can find options for locations of PCs and Printers across the campuses on the IT Student Computing locations webpage.

Laptop Loans

Laptop loan cabinets can be found in the libraries and as a King's student you can borrow a laptop for free for 72 hours.

If you intend to take a laptop off campus you will need to log on before taking it off campus, otherwise you won't be able to use it.

Chargebox

King’s IT offers 30 minutes free charging time for your personal device, in partnership with ChargeBox.

Simply find a ChargeBox, turn off any alarms and set your device to silent, connect your device, lock the box, and return 30 minutes later to a charged device.

Chargeboxes are available at our Strand, Waterloo, Guy's and Denmark Hill campuses.

Wi-Fi

You can access free Wi-Fi in all the libraries using either:

eduroam - use your King's username in the form k1234567@kcl.ac.uk for example, and your normal password.

The Cloud - a free commercial service that provides guest Wi-Fi

TechBars: your on-campus tech support  

The IT TechBars are open for in-person, on-campus IT support from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.  Find us in the Maughan, New Hunt’s House libraries and Franklin-Wilkins building (room 2.32).

 


MS Office 365

Every student and member of staff at King's gets a free MS Office 365 licence with an option to download applications on up to five personal devices. Enjoy industry-standard business applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Skype for Business. You will also get a 1TB of secure online storage as well as ongoing support from both Microsoft and King's IT.
